patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, and unfair
competition, is also referred to as "intangible
property." Either way, any product of the human mind
or intellect...such as an idea, invention, expression, unique
name, business method, industrial process, or chemical formula
with some value in the market place that can be reduced to a
tangible form.
Therefore Intellectual Property Law, also known as IP Law,
determines when and how a person can capitalize on a creation.
