Intellectual Property Law, protects the owner of the exclusive
use of a symbol (word, design, sound) used in marketing goods or

The courts will afford trademark rights with regard to
advertising slogans, although not trademarks per se,
provided the owners have used them consistently as brand names
on their goods not just in the media.
